Reference Collections
The Reference Library houses a variety of books, test study guides, electronic resources, audiobooks and videos and DVDs.
Books:
The Library's book collection is primarily non-fiction with an emphasis on the following areas: West Virginia and Appalachian History and Literature; Library Science; Public Administration; Education; and Health and Wellness.
Test Study Guides:
Study Guides are available to help individuals prepare for test required for civil service jobs, college entrance, and GED programs.
Online Databases:
Internet resources covering subjects from accounting to literature; education to statistics; legal forms to audiobooks are provided to assist state workers and the public in their research and information needs. More details...
Audiobooks:
The Library's audiobooks include spoken word recordings on cassettes and CDs and covers a wide range of fiction and nonfiction materials in unabridged format. Subjects include history, self-help, language, instruction and biography.
Videos and DVDs:
Videos and DVDs are primarily devoted to nonfiction topics such as health, exercise, travel, history and how-tos. We also collect award-winning feature and foreign films.
